Well, if you liked Bolero (a.k.a. an introduction to classical music for many) try Ravel’s Daphnis and Chloe…one of the most beautiful and passionate compositions ever.  It may not be literary, but it is writing all the same–and brilliant, at that.

Here is a nine minute snippet of Ravel’s longest work at over an hour. It was originally set for ballet:
